LoadMyTracks and Cartographica both use the fine Sparkle framework for automatic updating. All data is sent between the software and servers at ClueTrust, so we believe it is safe.Although we do encourage people to keep the automatic update notification turned on, both programs allow you to turn this feature off in the Preferences panel.
