Update! Apple has fixed this problem in 10.5.3.
If you upgrade, the device will show up in LoadMyTracks and you should be happy with the results.
In versions prior to 10.5.3 and after 10.4.9, the Sony CS-1 would not show up on the desktop as a storage device, and thus LoadMyTracks wouldn't see it.
